Group Programs

Impact of Technology on Relationships
1 or ½-day

Raises awareness about some of the human needs which technology strips away. Participants learn when it is necessary to meet people face-to-face. Through role-playing, they learn to recognize the signals of "technological overload" and how to deal with it.

Stress Management/Time Management
 2, 1,or ½-day

Participants are taught how their own behavioral styles impact their reactions to stress. They discover stress reduction and time management techniques, which change attitudes, turning stress around, enabling greater productivity. This workshop is designed to help put stress in its proper place.

Communication
1 or ½-day

Introduces the art of keeping an open mind when listening and not being judgmental. Anyone can communicate. It’s how we communicate that counts. Techniques such as building rapport, reducing ambiguity, giving feedback, and restatement are taught through role-playing and feedback from peers.

Participants come to realize how personality style impacts the way their messages are received and understood. Effective communication is the only way to build solid relationships.

Dealing with Change
2 or 1-day

Learn about managing changes in attitude and behavior. This workshop gives participants permission to feel the emotions of the change cycle: shock, fear, resistance, and acceptance. Using personal case studies, participants discover that they will come out just fine "on the other side" of change. In pairs or in small groups, discussion includes dealing with a new culture, handling diversity, and taking risks.

Conflict Resolution
1-day

Teaches participants how to solve the problems that are creating disharmony. Participants are encouraged to think rather than get emotional about situations, which seem frustrating. Learn to negotiate in a gentle and firm manner with disruptive personalities who interfere with the flow of the team's mission. Coping skills and intervention techniques are experienced through participants’ case studies and role-playing.

Departmental Vision
1 or ½-day

Redefines the vision for more effective results in the overall strategic plan. By learning a process that allows for brainstorming and strategic thinking, participants find new ways of building enthusiasm and motivation.

Clarifying Roles and Goals
½-day

Defines their job descriptions and interpret their understanding of expectations. Lack of clarity creates disappointment and disruption, which hinders real talent. This program helps clarify boundaries so that contributions can be expressed and recognized.

Performance Management
2 or 1-day

Emphasizes both personality and skills. Case studies examine how personality style impacts others and their job performance. Dealing with ambiguity, clarifying responsibilities, establishing objectives, coaching, building a trusting environment, and delivering positive and constructive feedback are skills learned that lead to greater productivity.

Strategic Planning
1 or ½-day

Participants realize that collaboration makes a plan successful. This program provides the opportunity to build a strategic model and to solve problems. Participants practice different ways of attacking a plan and making it work. Activities include planning a team agenda, learning how to share decision making and creating, writing, and presenting a strategy to a target audience within a specific time frame.

Presentation Skills
2 or 1-day

Reinforces what your "personality type" brings to a presentation and how to position, organize, and present with style. Participants collaborate with a contrasting "personality type" partner for a dry-run presentation.

Coaching
2 or 1-day

Teaches skills essential for coaching such as giving praise, developing rapport, building trust, and delivering constructive feedback. Participants gain insights into how personality impacts coaching.

Trust
½ day

Raises awareness about the work it takes to be in a safe relationship with another person. Participants gain knowledge of the trust process by taking specific steps to master the components of rapport, time, values, and evidence. Trust can be developed by design, not just by default.

The Ten Commitments of Leadership
1-day

Identifies the "Ten Commitments" for success in leadership. The ingredients for achievement include upholding values, sense of humanity, facing reality, social responsibility, and trust. We all have the ability to persevere; it’s the willingness to do it, which determines success.
